Login redirect not working with widget

Hi Gringo,

That’s not something we’ve heard about before. Do you know if the redirect is working correctly with the login shortcode on your site?

The widget keeps the user on the same page after log-in.

The shortcode does not work either. It takes visitors to the WP dashboard, and I really don’t want visitors going there!

Possible interference: I’m using Headway as a main theme, with a child theme for customization.

Redirecting to the WP dashboard definitely sounds like some kind of conflict; the default behaviour should be staying on the same page. If you’re not logged in, does it try to redirect to that page anyways?

I set the login redirect in the widget and it’s not wanting to work. Check it out here:

Once I log in I want it to redirect to:

I agree, the redirect_page doesn’t seem to work in the [login] shortcode. Some documentation (such as at https://www.etoilewebdesign.com/front-end-users-faq/) shows the URL should be in single-quotes, other (such as https://www.etoilewebdesign.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/FrontEndOnlyUserPluginDocument.docx.pdf) shows double-quotes, I tried both, still ignored.
