there you have control on email and basic behaviour for WP

I have just looked it there but cant see anywhere that will stop the jetpack options showing or profile editor?

jetpack tries basically to override all themes and basic functions. to my knowledge, no sorry. but you can select what jetpack does and don’t through the admin.

look at advanded options, there are some, if not tons ??

Sorry for the confusion @nparsons75 , @digico-paris is incorrect here. Jetpack does not “override all themes and basic functions,” nor does it have anything to do with the user registration process, and neither it nor WordPress have a section titled “advanced options.”
