• Hey all,

I recently had to re-install my WordPress because my host had some server problems and lost all my files. I am seriously considering switching to a new host when the year is out. Anyway, my problem is this:

I try to login with the username and password I was given at the end of installation. Only, when I press the login button, I don’t go to the admin panel but just get a red warning message saying that my session has expired. I’m sure that I have the password and username correct, so I’m not sure what the problem is.

The only possible solution that I’ve found was this, but it seems to apply only to Windows servers while I’m on an Apache server. I think I might be having the same problem because when I try to view other files in the directory that I’ve installed WordPress, I get 403 errors.

So, does anyone have an idea to help me fix this? To review: I’m on an Apache server with a new install of WordPress 1.5 that works entirely except that I can’t get into the admin panel.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Thank you! Clearing my cookies did the trick. ^_^

Normally I login as “admin” and I would remain logged in for a long time (several weeks or more). Lately I come to my site (br23.net) and I find myself logged out and have to login again virtually every day. I haven’t changed any settings, so what does that mean? My host keeps restarting his web server?
