login page that takes someone to a private page

  • I need to have a page on my site where preselected people can log in using a predetermined username and password. After they hit “Log In”, it takes them to a certain page on my site. This sounds simple, but I just cant’ figure out what (plugin) I need. Can anyone help?

    One option you can do is make a page Password protected.
    In the Publish section
    beside Visibility:Public there is an Edit link
    open that
    then mark the page as password protected
    you can create a password then give it to anyone you want to.

    Not sure if that’s exactly what you were looking for.

    Not quite. I need a login page where they enter their username and password. THEN it takes them to the password protected page.
