    Hi,

So I visited one of my sites today and noticed it was displaying differently, I tried logging in and I couldn’t.. the page simply just refreshes. So I tried resetting my password and I got this error:

Could not save password reset key to database.

I looked up online and many people are saying “Your database is full etc..” So I checked that out, and my database is not full/there is plenty of space. I tried renaming my plugins folder and also deleting the .htaccess file (which didnt work, so I re-uploaded it). Anyway.. I then tried logging into another site of mine and I’ve got exactly the same issue, it’s really weird because I tried logging into another and that one is fine. (So 2 out of 3 are not letting me log in)

I’ve managed to manually change the password via FTP and MyPHPAdmin, I know the password has changed and is working because instead of getting an error, the page simply refreshes and won’t log me in.. I’ve tried logging in on multiple browsers and I get the same issue.

Any ideas what else I could try?

FYI my host is 123-reg.co.uk – could It have anything to do with folder permissions? I’m pretty sure the update to 4.5.3 didn’t cause this so I don’t know what has :S

    Try:
    – switching to the default theme automatically by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

I submitted a ticket to my host provider earlier because I was having an error deleting an old MySQL database… It’s been fixed.

Now both of my sites are working again, maybe that was it then ??

@lan, could you please tell me what exactly you did for this issue, I think my site have same problem and i don’t know how to fix it.
