Login Page Redirect

    I’m a newbie building a WordPress page. But I’m not new to designing websites, I’ve done some before.

    Here’s my puzzle. I’m trying to access my login page to log into the dashboard. When I take my laptop to work, I can get to the login page, access the dashboard and perform all sorts of updates. Everything is perfect.

    I take my laptop home, and I can access the login page for a moment and get to the dashboard for a moment. It then kicks me out to the “under construction” page (because the site is under construction at the moment). I try to go back to the same login page as I did while at work, and it won’t load the login page. It just redirects to the “under construction page”.

    I’ve tried it at home on multiple computers, devices, browsers, different IP addresses, even used my hotspot on my phone. I’ve dumped history and caches. Nadda.

    Why in the world would it let me do everything at work (just tested it to see if it would work there) and not at home?

    I know this error has been sorta posted before, but I haven’t found where it works in one place and not another…all with different IP addresses on the same machine.

    The site is currently hosted with GoDaddy. And tested the login problem on the latest MacBook Pro (my main computer), PC, iPhone, iPad & Galaxy Note on Google Chrome and Safari.

    I am not sure how you enabled the under construction page. But do check the settings of it.
    The case could be that you enabled your under construction page for all IP’s except for your work one ?? It may look something like this in your settings: https://prnt.sc/p51p1l

    Hi Valentine!

    Hrm. That makes sense. I may try a different Under Construction plugin. The current one, “UnderConstruction” I have to pay a monthly fee to white list my other IP addresses. ??

    Give it a go and play around with the settings!
    Make sure to disable your old plugin, so the two don’t clash together ??

    I think I just figured it out! But I won’t be able to try it till I get home this evening. In dashboard under “users” and in the category “Trusted Devices”, all my IP addresses that I tried to access it with were “pending approval”. Maybe that was the key! *crosses fingers* No idea how I missed that!
