Login Page Not Working & No Error

  • Recently i updated my multisite wordpress into new wordpress version 3.1.2 via ftp. After upgrade login not working. am unable to go into the wp-admin. No errors also displaying. I checked many forums and tried many method. Also tried re-upgrade via ftp. but no use. Please help me in this critical situation.

  • Hi Vinoth,

    I had a quick look at your site. Perhaps you have some plugins running that have something to do with user logins? You might try following the instructions here to temporarily disable all plugins and login:

    If this works, and you are able to login, you can then delete the empty plugins folder you created and rename “plugins.hold” folder. Then you should proceed to your plugins page, open a different browser (i.e. if logged in in firefox, open your login page in chrome while still logged in on Firefox.)

    Using browser 1, deactivate all currently active plugins,
    Then attempt to login in browser 2. If browser 2 logs in successfully, log back out on browser 2, then activate a plugin and repeat the process until you find the offending plugin or successfully re-activate all plugins.

    Thanks for your support. i already disabled all the plugins. Also tried this method but no use. I tried all the methods as per ur post.

    Am unable to understand this error

    I’m having the same problem. I use the same password and login when trying to enter in the wordpress administration as in the wp_config.php and tried the proposed solutions from the wordpress codex but with no result.

    finally i got the solution. my multisite blog is directory based. and site url is https://www.forextradersdaily.com/ (with “www.” prefix)

    But siteurl option value in wp-options is wrongly put as without “www.” prefix. After i add that now all working fine.

    Actually before upgrade in old version no errors raised for the wrong value of siteurl without “www.” prefix. Now the error came for new version. now the problem solved. thanks for all your support
