    Hello,

I restored my website and my database because I couldn’t access to my login page (? page not found ? when entering https://aufildusausseron.fr/wp-login.php). This issue just came after several login attempts by unknown IP. It occurred on the 20th and 21st of May, despite of the security measures I used for my website.
However, none of the backups worked (I used backups from 2 weeks ago) and the login page is still not found. I spent the last 10 days trying several things to fix it with my web hosting (ovh) but nothing worked and now they say everything is fine from them so the issue might come from my wordpress set up. However as I can’t access my dashboard, I can’t try to reconfigure anything or remove some plugin.
So what could I do to fix that ?

Thanks in advance for your help,
    Lily

  • Try re-uploading all files & folders – except the root wp-config.php & .htaccess files and the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folders before uploading the new ones.

Your site’s content is all stored in your database – with the exception of uploaded media files stored in the wp-content folder. So as long as you avoid that folder, you will be fine. All you are doing is uploading a fresh set of WordPress core files.

    Hello Esmi

Thank you very much for your reply. I just did what you suggested but I still have the same issue… Do you have any other actions you could think of to solve my problem ?

    Hello again,

I finally managed to access my dashboard again by simply deleting my security plugin (wp cerber) from my server… Now I use Jetpack to protect my site from brutal force attacks. I think there was an issue with the plugin wp cerber and my theme but I don’t know what… it worked very well at the beginning…

Thank you very much for your help,

    Lily
