login page not found

  • Just updated our installed lockdowns to take advantage of the function to change the wordpress login url. We have several wp sites and it’s worked fine on most but on two of them the changed url comes up with a ‘page not found’ warning.

    Tried the ‘disable_auth.txt’ trick to get back in to the dashboard but that didn’t work – I could get as far as wp-login.php but no further.

    Was obliged to remove the lockdown plugin folder from the plugins folder to regain access.

    As the set up on most of our WP installations is much the same I can’t work out why it won’t function on these two – is there an area I should be looking at that might prevent it from working properly?

  • Same problem here, can’t even access the new modified url. “Disable_auth.txt” not working, have to remove the plugin folder.

    I had the same problem. I reverted to version 2.1 of the plugin and is back to normal. I hope the author of the plugin fixes the latest version 2.2

    Have you tried to regenerate the permalinks ?

    what we do?

    I had this problem so i disabled the plugin from the database,

    – Login to phpmyadmin and open your database
    – Find options table
    – Find the row with option Name ( active_plugins )
    – clear its option values
    – open your siteurl/wp-admin and re-enable all plugins you need again.

    D&R0)2uyhxuH “buynewdinar.com” Dear sir I have a problem I was trying on the frontpage to edit in visual editor widget ( headway 3.6.3 ) but i made a mistake. luckily my sites back-up using managewp-worker.. so i clicked restore.. everything was fine as related to the frontpage.. but when i click any other page from the menu like:- buy dinar, dinar news, faqs, testimonials, about us pages, it gives me not found though the pages are in my wordpress account. can you help me with this
