Installed WF on 3 sites. Sites 2 and 3 report a login. However, the Site 1 does not report a login. Exported settings from Site 2 and Imported to Site 1. Logged out/in and did not receive an email for the login on Site 1. Did a Test Email to confirm function and received the email.

  • Hi,

There could be a database issue with the site that is not performing as you’d expect. Try removing Wordfence and table data and doing a clean reinstall of Wordfence. Finally, import the settings again and see if the problem still persists.

    Thank you Brian.

How do I save my Blocked IPs?

@mrwrightaz: You can save blocked IPs by clicking the Export option at the bottom of the Wordfence options page, and saving the token it gives you, to paste in the import box after reinstalling.

There is currently a limit of 127 IPs, so if you have a lot blocked, they may not all be saved.

One thing that’s confusing when testing the login emails: Wordfence won’t send an email with the exact same content twice in a row, within the same hour. Just to double-check that this isn’t what’s happening, see if you do get an email the next time you log into the site that wasn’t sending them.

    Thank you, Matt.

I completely deleted WF, with the option to delete tables and stuff, and then reinstalled if from scratch.

WF still does not send me an email show the login. Is there something else I can try?

Hm, that’s very unusual — are the sites all on the same server, or different servers? If they’re on different servers, you can check if the site is on any blacklists here:
    https://mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx

(Some mail hosts may use a combination of blacklists and message content, so it’s possible for only some messages to be blocked incorrectly.)

I would also try a different email address if you have one — possibly yahoo, since they don’t filter out as many messages as many of the others.

If receiving mail doesn’t seem to be the problem, there may be a conflict with other plugins on the site. The best way to check is by disabling other plugins, and seeing if the problem still occurs. (Remember though, that the login message won’t be sent twice in 60 minutes, if no other Wordfence messages are sent in between that time.)
