Its been a few months since I used my blog, I have two of them on the same server however I cannot get to the login? I am using https://www.<MySite>.com/wp-login.php and https://www.<MySite>.com/blog/wp-admin/.

I get a 404 error and as far as I know I did not upgrade my site, its using WP 2.05?

I was advised that it may be because my files are in a sub folder, this is true but they were in a sub folder when they were working. They have always been in a sub folder, has this been a change from WP?

If your wordpress install is in a subfolder, then EVEN IF you use the front page work around, you will need to point to the subfolder for the admin/login page.

To whit:
Installed in /public_html/wordpress
URL https://www.domain.com/wordpress/wp-login.php

If you’re still using WP 2.0.5, I strongly urge you to upgrade, if only for the security patches.

Ipstenu:
Wordrpess is installed in a sub folder called “blog” and it is WP 2.0.5, but I cannot log in to disable the plugins let alone point WP to the sub folder.

Any suggestions? I actually used my hosts tools and installed a new blog @ the following address and it worked fine? It was working before as well?

If you can FTP, you can remove the plugin folders from /blog/wp-content/plugins, and that will auto-disable them (I THINK that works in 2.0.5 … that was a while ago).

While you’re on FTP, check that the there is a folder called /blog/wp-admin
