Hi, I have just installed the plugin, so still a beginner. I am working in maintenance mode and have set up some dummy user accounts to test them. However, a couple of problems: 1) When I go to the website I can only get the WordPress login rather than the WPUM login page, so I have set the dummy accounts up via the backend; 2) when I log in with the dummy accounts, instead of taking them to their WPUM profile pages, it takes them to the dashboard, as if they were (limited) administrators.

I figured both these problems would be solved by checking “Lock access to wp-login.php”, as this states that users will be directed to the WPUM login page. However, as soon as I did this, I found I was locked out of my website and had to delete the plugin on my host control panel to get back to my dashboard. Sorry for lengthy question! Any suggestions as to how I should proceed?

    Hi there,

It might be a compatibility issue with the maintenace plugin you’re using. Can you tell me what plugin are you using?

Hi, many thanks for your reply – it was indeed the plugin. I managed to resolve this while going through some other issues with my hosting service. I’ve reverted to the default plugin now and everything seems to be working. WPUM is working great!

    Thanks again
    Adrian
