Login Issues

  • Updated WordPress manually via FTP and everything went smoothly. Went my login page and was able to put my username and password but nothing happens just resets to enter user and password again. Followed all protocol on Codex fixing login issues but still not working. Help =)

  • Hey there,

    This is usually caused by a different domain and/or site/home URL being defined in wp-config. Check your wp-config and be sure that the current domain and home and site URL match your database and primary domain that you are attempting to log into.

    Sometimes when I try to access the login page, it goes to a page like a directory which isn’t mine, but the URL with mydoman/wp-admin is correct. Other times I do get the login page. Very frustrating since this happens on and off. All my other sites are ok.

    Is it possible that the WP installation is corrupt?

    Did you do what I mentioned and check your wp-config file? your symptoms still make me think something is conflicting between that and your database wp_options table.

    Awesome, so glad to hear that! And Annette, I am sorry! I thought you were the original poster when I replied the 2nd time. But I do suggest you also look at the things I mentioned to maolophotography!
