Login issues

  • I set up a site with WordPress a couple of months ago and have been logging into my Dashboard without any problem until just a few days ago. Suddenly and inexplicably my login was not recognized. I tried having WordPress email my login info, but never received the email. I did searched for my problem and found information somewhere (not sure where exactly) that explained the step-by-step process to change your password in PHP MyAdmin. I followed those instructions and they worked perfectly.

    However, the problem keeps reoccurring. I just updated my password again in PHP MyAdmin and was able to get into my Dashboard. That will most likely work for today, but tomorrow I’ll have to do it all over again. It gets really frustrating.

    Anyone have any ideas what might be going on? For the record, my email address is set up correctly in Settings, but I’ve still never received any email updating my password.

    Have you spoken to your hosts about this? I’m afraid it’s possible that your site has been hacked.

    No, I haven’t, but I will right now. Thanks for suggesting that.
