    Hi Guys,

    Was able to authorize the client ok from the instagram side but when I try to login from the Easy Instagram end I get this error when I fill in the three fields required and try to login:
    Warning: curl_close(): 188 is not a valid cURL handle resource in /home/j53207/public_html/wp-content/plugins/easy-instagram/include/Instagram-PHP-API/CurlHttpClient.php on line 121

    Any ideas?

  • I have there error too after trying to login to Instagram from WordPress – they came up after Instagram redirected me back to the setting pages, and when i click “login to instagram” it wouldn’t show the permission dialog again

    And you are still getting a “write permissions” error?
    If you would like to contact us privately and provide temporary access to your WordPress install, we’d be happy to take a look. Write to us via our contact form here, https://www.velomedia.com/contact/, (please make sure to chose “plugin support” so it is routed to the right folks on our team) and we’ll do our best to help.

    We can not guarantee that it will get done in the next 24 hours, but will make it a priority if you can wait.

    No write permissions error anymore, sorry i should have been more specific in my last message. It seems to be working but when I take a look at the page where it is supposed to show the instagrams, it just shows the header and nothing else.

    I installed the new version and it logged in without any errors, seems to me that everything is working now

    @elthar
    Glad to hear it, and thanks for sticking with us while we got this going. If you would like, please feel free to review Easy Instagram.

    @jennyfogarty
    We have found two errors in the setup, these changed, we believe everything is now working:

    • The Instagram application is generated and defined with the www prefix, and you’r site is defined without it (under General Settings, WordPress Address and Site Address). We changed the setting, and it seems to be working.
    • You had asked “in ‘user id’ in Appearance~>Widgets~>Easy Instagram it does not work.”The problem here is User ID must be the Instagram internal numerical ID and not the user name. In this specific case, it was 26******.

    We hope this solves your issues, please let us know.

    Sorry that ID number was for a different, we did not change the User ID, could you please check that you are using the ID number?
