• Hi there,
A few months ago I updated the WordPress version, and ever since I get the famous loop-back error.
I have every since changed and deleted themes, done everything told to me in several forums on the Net. Also reinstalled WordPress using FTP. But almost 6 months later I still get the loop back problem. PLEASE!!!!! I have NO idea what version I used in the beginning, nor which version I currently use after the update. Basically I’m stuck against the wall.
Who can finally help me out. Anybody can enter my FTP and solve the problem, what so ever.
    Thank you so much.

  • Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

    – re-running the upgrade via wp-admin/upgrade.php

    Hi there,
Did all of that several times already, a few months ago and now again.
I’m very desperate to edit my website, so please try again with more tips. Or you can even maybe enter my ftp?

Do you know what versions of PHP & MySQL are on the server? If not, can you find out? don they meet current WordPress requirements?

before the upgrade everything was ok, so my php msq lablabla was supporting WordPress without problems. The upgrade really screwed things up. And again, don’t know which WP version i used or am using currently. Kinda lost really.

When WordPress 3.2 was released about six months ago the hosting requirements changed, so you need to find out the PHP & MySQL versions on your hosting to confirm that they meet the current required minimum. If you cannot find the information on your hosting control panel, your hosting support will be able to tell you.
