Login from blog ?

  • I’m looking for a plugin that lets you log in to your WP from the actual blog page. I’ve searched the plugin page as well as the forums without any luck.

    Anyone? ??

  • I’m not sure about a plugin, but I copied the login form from wp-login.php and pasted it in my sidebar. It seems to work…only problem is it doesn’t go away when you are logged in. I’m sure someone good with php could recommend some type of check to make it go away when logged in though.

    Disclaimer…I haven’t thoroughly tested this and others may know of reasons why you shouldn’t do this, but it seems to work….see the link below.

    Thanks Steve! Well I tried it and it works… but I’m curious about the reasons why it shouldn’t be done this way? Anyone? Security issues? (I really have no clue as you can see… haha)

    I can’t logically think of any reason that this would cause a problem, but I’m not a programmer…maybe someone could verify that this doesn’t introduce any security concerns.
