Login forms not working in custom theme?

    Hello,

    I have built a custom theme based off of a prebuilt theme. I have tried several different login widgets and also manually hardcoding the login form via PHP, but nothing I do works! The form shows up, but when I try to submit the login details, it’s not logging anyone in and it reloads the same page with the same login form. It should display the welcome info and user links, but it’s not doing anything. This problem is in all browsers as far as I can tell.

    Any ideas what the problem could be?
