login error message – cannot connect to database

    help! – It’s not possible to login to our WordPress web site.
    Error message is – connot connect to database.
    We have done database repair, but all it says is that everything is Ok (for each database table).

    What to do?

    Thanks for your help.
    I suppose you mean cPanel in our case. The problem is that we don’t know the password for the account. It was handled by a former web administrator and he doesn’t remember what it was … So, we have to talk to cPanel obviously.

    We have now contact with our host cPanel and a support case running.
