Login doesn’t work through WooCommerce

  • Hello all,

    I’m trying to build my first online store using WooCommerce.

    It’s all going well, except for the fact that every time I try to login through WooCommerce, I have to do it twice, otherwise it doesn’t login. I literally have to click twice every time. Otherwise it doesn’t get in. The logout works from the first time. It didn’t either, but somehow I fixed it.

    I was able to login the first time on the My Account page of the site.

    Hello Luke,

    Thanks for the input. It’s really random. I just logged in from the first try, but now I can’t logout for the life of me. Can you try logging in and out a few times in a row, to test what I’m talking about?

    Thank you so much. There’s definitely something wrong. By the way, the logout option in the site’s language says “Изход”, so that’s what you have to click to logout.

    It seems that it does Log Out, however, in order for you to realize that you’re logged out, you have to change the page. So if you lougout from the “My Profile” page and you stay on it, it still says you’re in. You have to click on “Shop” or basically anywhere else, for the system to tell you that you’re not in.

    Is there a fix for this?

    It’s a fresh WordPress install + WooCommerce and a free theme.

    Also having this issue.

    I think I am on to something. It looks like a cookie issue. While it is active, users can log in exactly once, and can’t again until it is cleared. When inspected, if I clear out the wordpress_test_cookie with dev tools, I can log in every time.

    Running through some more tests, but I think it is my host’s fault. Starting that support conversation now…

    Ok, yeah… weirdest thing. I talked with my host and they had me stop “varnish” and it all works, no issue. No idea what that is though.

    Can you explain where you made that change to “stop varnish”, please? I also have the duplicate logout that’s driving me crazy. It only started after installing the import csv from WC.
