• Hi there
I want user’s to either be logged out when they close the browser, or after a short time (say one day). How can I do that?
    Thanks for your help.

i would support a checkbox for cookie storage on login screen… ??

so you all get this behavior? i thought it was only me again… I logged in once a few months ago and am still logged in every time i fire up wp-admin, even after nightly upgrades.
    huuuuge cookies or summat ??

    i actually like the convinience…
with opera aliases. just type ‘post’ and i am ready to roll…

Yes, the convenience is nice and is as it should be. I am perfectly capable of hitting “Logout” when I want to leave. Imagine getting up from the table while out for dinner and find they have seated someone else when you return. Until I pay the check, that table is mine! Thank goodness I don’t have to log back in every time I leave the computer for a few minutes. I have been to some sites where I took “too long” to post a well thought out message and lost everything – now that really chaps my hide!

yesyes of course, still the “checkbox” would be a good idea I guess.

matthew: you could change the cookies settings at wp-login.php
