Login broken after (presumably) recent background update
-
Hi all,
Hoping you can help me with the following problem.
The last time I logged into my wordpress installation was about a month ago. At that time it worked flawlessly and all I changed was some featured images and added a new post.
Now, when I try to go to https://www.example.com/wp-admin/ I get a 404 page and the URL says https://example.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fexample.com%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1
So far I have tried:
- Refreshing the browser and clearing the cache.
- Renaming the plugin folder plugin.off and trying again
- Renaming the themes folder themes.off and trying again
- Deleting my .htaccess file and recreating it again
None of the above has allowed me to reach wp-login or wp-admin. Viewing posts works fine.
The only thing I think could have changed is one of the automatic updates. Any ideas how I can fix this?
Thanks in advance!
