Login attempts by unknown users, renamed login page in use

    Despite renaming the login page of all of the sites I have created I still receive many lockdown events due to unknown usernames or too many login attempts. How are the renamed login pages being found and what can I do to stop them being found?

    Hi, can you check to see if you have one of the following features enabled.

    Go to WP Security -> Firewall -> Basic Firewall Rules, locate the following rules.

    Completely Block Access To XMLRPC:
    Disable Pingback Functionality From XMLRPC:

    If you don’t can you enabled one of them and before you do please read the information provided so you know which one to enable.

    Hi, thanks for your reply mbrsolution. I’ve enabled both of those settings now so hopefully that should work.
