Well, that totally ruins the site, but the buttons are now really big and blue, and they are now the same in all browsers.

This test lets you know that the issue is coming from your theme. Your best option is to contact your theme developers about this issue. Let me know what they say.

Ah, so you are using Twenty Eleven. I think you should try a different WordPress theme. As far as I know Twenty Eleven is not really responsive and it is a bit too old that theme.

You can use CSS code to fix this but remember you are trying to adjust the code to different browsers, which might complicate things for you. In my humble opinion.

Well, the site is already done, and we don’t have time to redesign for a different theme. Twenty eleven is not too old. They keep it updated and it is responsive.

I’m not clear why you can’t make the button look the way you want it to in your plugin and keep it that way. Why must it be different based on theme or different browsers?

Can you let me know where or how I can edit the look of the login and register buttons?

The buttons in your site are behaving like that when viewing the forms in different browsers because of the current Twenty Eleven theme. That is why I suggested for you to search for a different theme. One more advanced, like Twenty Sixteen and above. However I understand your current predicament.

The registration is a bit different. Here is a the current class used.

You should be able to use the above class to customize the button.

The main style of the buttons come from the theme. That is the only way to ensure that the buttons will match with the rest of the theme’s design elements. Otherwise, a site will have other buttons and links that has ONE style then the ones from our plugin will look completely different and out of place. Most users will have issues with that. We don’t expect our plugin to work for every scenarios out there. That is just not possible. Give it a try to see if it works for your current project at hand. If it doesn’t work good then look for another one to see if that works better for your project (given the current set of plugins and themes you are using on that site).

It might not be feasible, but I was thinking that it would be great if you could have a setting where you could choose to use the default theme/browser buttons or choose from a small selection of plain button designs that could be used instead.
