Logging In – WP Being Very Weird

  • I have a WP account for work and I wanted to ask a question on a different thread about something unrelated. It said I had to login if I wanted to ask a question. I went to login and it kept saying that my password was wrong (even though I know for a fact it was right as I am currently logged into my work account). I tried to change the password, but then it insisted that the account does not exist. So I went to create a new account to see what would happen – and when I put in my username, it insisted that I have an account! So finally I just created a new username with a personal email address, successfully logged in, and asked my question in the other thread. However, I don’t understand why I cannot use my work account! I know the password is right. I used the same browser the whole time.

    WordPress org account and your work account (what do you mean when you say work account)?

    I mean that we use WP for our website at work – I have an account so I can make changes to the website. I couldn’t log in through my work account. I had to create a new account.
