    Hi,

I’ve got a problem with logging on to my wordpress domain () – after migrating it over to Shopify. So now – when i try to log on to the old wordpress domain it simply reroutes me to my new website, and not logging me in to my old wordpress account, and tells me “the page could not be shown”

When i try to login to wordpress website to change my password, or simply logging in – it just says that i dont have an account.

This gives me a lot of problems – i’m having a hard time unsubscribing to all the plugins. – It still shows the old url when i google the products, so instead of being rerouted to my new website it goes to the old url.

TL:DR – Cant login after changing domain name,
I need an option where i can get to my dashboard, so that i can remove the website entirely.

    Kind Regards Alexander / miniSERVIETTEN

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I think you need to talk to your hosting provider. The problem is with your domain name. You can change the old site to a different domain name. It is not really an issue with WordPress but with your domain that you changed.

    Hi Tom,
ah okay – so if i contact my hosting provider – could i then change my old domain? to a new, so that i would then afterwards login to the dashboard, through wordpress?

    Hey @miniservietten,

As I am understanding, You had a WordPress website available on the current domain that you shared in the topic. Now you have moved to Shopify and connected your domain & DNS with Shopify. Hence, all the DNS has been reached now Your domain is pointing to the Shopify website.

Your old website could be still available and stored on your old hosting(I am assuming you were not using WordPress.com)

    WordPress.com and www.remarpro.com are different.

To access your old website, either you can repoint your domain to a WordPress website as @mrtom414 suggested or you can point to a new domain with the help of hosting support.

However, when you’ll point to a new domain, You will have to change the site URL and home Url values in the database, then login into your WordPress and re-save the permalink then do any other modifications.

    Hi @vijayhardaha

Yeah thats exactly it – i hadn’t considered changing all these things before moving the domain – as that would, meant downtime on people being able to buy things on the site.

Alright ill try to contact my hosting site to see if they can help me.

    THank you!
