Logged in this evening and all posts have disappeared

    Hi All,

    I logged into my admin account this evening to discover that all my posts from the last 3/4 years are all gone!

    I am the only one who has access to the site, and I didnt do anything today other than publish some articles and add some for schedule publish.

    The various pages have all vanished too, but if I go to the categories section I can see them and they also list the number of posts against them. ie the news category says there are 195 posts…

    Is this simply some sort of WP corruption or have I lost everything?!

    Oh also to add all the comments are still there

    Have you checked your database? Do you have a recent database backup? Does your host?

    Where is the db for me to check?

    And from the answer above you can guess that I dont have a backup either!

    You’d need to ask your hosts for help with this. They should have a database management tool like Phmyadmin that you can use to examine the content of your database. With luck, they may also have database backup that you could use.

    Right I have checked the database and when I check the structure under the posts section I get the following message

    #145 – Table ‘./virtual_wrdp1/wp_posts’ is marked as crashed and should be repaired

    Can you see a repair link in Phpmyadmin?

    Yes I saw that just as you posted and have repaired and everything is back to normal.

    Time to back this db up now!!

    hey i need some help, i use my blog for coursework and had updated all last week and was all there. i then accessed it on a Mac at school it was all still there and i updated some blogs. Yet i come to my computer this evening and my 3 latest posts have disappeared and are no where to be seen, yet the things i editted in are still there? is there anything i can do ? they cant just dissapear like that? please someone help!!!!

    i have just found the pictures that were in those lost posts in my media libary and they say they are unattached does that mean my post is there somewhere?
