“Logged In As” shows at the very bottom of posts-how to change

  • I just realized that the text, “logged in as (my name), do you want to change users” SHOWS at the bottom of two or more posts I’ve created.

    They aren’t published yet, but show in the preview pane. I don’t want my visitors to see my “logged-in as” name—surely that wouldn’t be good for security, at the very least.

    Is this just a “preview” thing, or will it be seen when I publish?
    I’m using the free Spacious theme. Haven’t gone to them yet. No clue if this is standard on www.remarpro.com posts, or the fault of a plugin, or, am “I” just the “lucky one”?

    It’s a Halloween blog, I NEED to start publishing my posts asap!

  • Can you show us a screen shot or share the url after you post?

    Perhaps you are looking at the comment logged in?

    Thank you, @citra. What a possible “DOH” moment! I never think to log OUT of my site! Maybe that will work?

    Well, I tried it, but, since it hasn’t been “published” yet, the “page/post” disappeared. I did take a screen shot, just not sure how to get it here.

    I’ll re-login, then make a test post, publish it, then show you the url.

    Hopefully back soon.

    Okay, just made my Test post. The url is test post

    Hmmmm. Now it’s NOT showing at the bottom. It showed when I first made and published a test post, a couple of hours ago, and it’s not showing at the bottom of my About Me page, either.

    I’ve had a lot of general training about starting a blog, but hardly any of that training delved into tech issues. Usually, just a few Do this, do that, start writing, publish, et voila’. ??

    Hi Susi,

    WordPress themes can show your username when you are logged in along with edit buttons etc.
    I’m not seeing that because I’m not logged into your website.

    I think this is working as expected.

    xBLADEx, thanks so much! I’m now assuming that I can post at will, w/o fear of that login info showing– at least to the rest of the world! ?? Appreciate your time in answering me.
