• Hello,

    Since trying to update to 4.4 I’ve been in a bit of a whirlpool of awful. Site is https://10mh.net/

    Problem 1 – the update failed, site down.

    Tried manual update, deactivated plugins, couldn’t get the new wp-admin or wp-include folders to upload.

    My hosting service restored a back up of my site so the posts are now up again. Yay!

    Problem 2 – However, since then, I’ve been unable to log in, I’m getting a redirect loop. The hosting service have changed my password, no joy. I’ve cleared caches etc. Still no luck.

    I think I’m a bit lost because I don’t know if Problem 2 is being caused by Problem 1 or which one I need to fix first.

    Can you help me out of this tailspin please?!

    In case it’s useful, the original error message I got when the update failed is this:

    “Warning: require_once(/websites/123reg/LinuxPackage21/10/mh/_n/10mh.net/public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-screen.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage21/10/mh/_n/10mh.net/public_html/wp-admin/includes/admin.php on line 53

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/websites/123reg/LinuxPackage21/10/mh/_n/10mh.net/public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-screen.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php53/share/pear:/usr/local/php53/share/php’) in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage21/10/mh/_n/10mh.net/public_html/wp-admin/includes/admin.php on line 53″

    Any help very gratefully received. I’ve looked at many forum topics but no luck so far.
