Log in not working after update

    After updated to 2.7, I am having a problem on one of my blogs. (The others I updated are not doing this.)

    When I click log in, it takes me to the log in screen. I enter my name and password, and click the button. It brings me right back to the log in screen. This will repeat endlessly.

    However, if I log in, then go back to the front page of the blog, and click Site Admin, it will then take me to the Dashboard.

    Any ideas how to fix this?

  • Have you tried clearing the browser cache and cookies? This frequently resolves the login problem after an upgrade.

    You can also rename your plugins folder and try logging in. If that works, name it back to plugins. There could be a plugin conflict – did you deactivate them when you did the upgrade?

    Clearing the cache and cookies did it- I had a similar problem with one of the other installs (kept saying wrong password even with a reset) and clearing them fixed it. It never even occurred to me that this could be the same problem. Thanks.
