• Since last Friday, I have tried to log in to my WordPress Blog hosted by Yahoo and can’t get past the log in screen at https://margodill.com/blog/wp-admin/

I have contacted Yahoo and they told me there’s nothing they can do to support me and to try getting help through WordPress. So here I am.

I also tried clearing cache and cookies and resetting my password. I have read some past posts on here about this issue and figure it must have to do with updates or plugins, but I can’t see how to get into anyplace where I have access to these things. I would appreciate any help. I am at a loss of what to do, even if the suggestion is find someone who knows how to do website coding to help you.

Can you elaborate a bit more? When you enter your credentials what happens?

I would request FTP access from Yahoo and you could disable your plugins that way and if that gets you in, then you can narrow down which plugin is the culprit from there.

You need to use the Yahoo file manager feature to go into the folders on the server and rename the /wp-content/plugins folder to say plugins_off. Then try to login to the blog. Once you get back in then you can rename the folder back using the File Manager again. This will have deactivated all of the plugins. You can then start to activate them one by one until it breaks the site again. I’d suspect any plugins doing login stuff.
