Log in is displaying instead of Hello username in home page

    Hi!

    When I log in to the site and navigate to the home page, Login is displayed instead of Hello {user name}. Please note that Login is displayed only in the home page https://prnt.sc/PZVyKVZjPmw8. If I navigate to a different page other then homepage, I can tell that I’m logged in https://prnt.sc/kL0WLPQYychT

    It’s not a caching problem since the wish list counter will display ‘0’ if the user isn’t logged in https://prnt.sc/ldTWrgZS5wds However, if the user is logged in the counter obviously will display the number of items in wish list https://prnt.sc/PZVyKVZjPmw8 please note that the last screenshot is from the homepage means I’m able to see the number of items in my wish list in other words I’m logged in so why Hello {username} isn’t displaying instead of Login.

    What I should do?

    We visited your site, and we couldn’t find any errors for the User Menus plugin.

    Here’s what we get:

    We made a test on our environment, but we were unable to reproduce the issue.

    It looks like this is a misconfiguration in the menu settings. Can you share a screen capture of your menu settings?

    My menu settings is the following

    I’m not using User links since When I use the Login from user links It’s redirecting me mywebsite/wp-login.php instead of mywebsite/log-in

    even if I set a custom URL let’s say mywebsite/log-in It’s taking me first to mywebsite/wp-login.php then it’s redirecting to mywebsite/log-in

    How I could solve it?

    @belimperial If the user does that, you will be banned from this site. It is that serious. Do not request access to a forum user’s site again.

    @karim66 The plugin support person made a serious mistake. Under no circumstance provide that access at all. That is not allowed ever, anywhere.

    Hi @karim66

    The User Menus – User Links follows the WordPress login URL.

    Can you try adding a redirection plugin, and use the user links instead? That way, it will automatically redirect to your custom login URL.

    You might need a developer to help you create a custom code if using a redirection plugin is not an option.
