• Hi! I recently just installed wordpress on my site(free-spoken.net) and I can’t seem to log in. I registered with WP before I installed it, and when I try to log in using the e-mail I got, it says the user name isn’t correct :S

    Somethings that may or may not help you:

    1. I’m being hosted by a friend, so I’m use a FTP server instead of Cpanel. Does my host need to make me a name or something>

    2, When I was installing it, I accidentally put my e-mail adress as “[email protected]” instead of “[email protected]”. I hit the “stop” button to fix it, but when I hit submit again, it said that wp was already installed and wouldn’t let me go to step 2 >_< Does this matter?

    Thanks =]

  • Wherever you have registered… it does NOT matter.
    Your own blog has nothing to do with your registration(s).

    During the install, after you gave your email (no matter if right or wrong) WP showed you your username (=admin) and a password with the warning to write it down? Did you?
    THAT is your right login info.

    *Sigh* I geuss I’ll have to re-install it :-/ I don’t know my user name, it never gave me one.

    Thanks for your help though.

    the user name is admin ——————- by default.

    Had you read the link moshu provided you (to my site) you would know that. And even moshu told you that…

    Youre going to have a lo of trouble down the road doing things and getting help if you dont want to read whats given to you.

    I did read it, I thought that when he said “write it down” that he meant it gave me a user name, not that it was actaully’admin’. My mistake.
