After updates, I often have not been able to login to the admin of my site. Usually there would be an error message and I could go into my files via my host (Network Solutions) and temporarily rename my plugin folder. This would allow access and then I could reactivate plugins and carry on. The most recent time, I was no longer able to access files through my host but had to use Filezilla instead. Renaming plugin folder, theme folder, clearing browser cache, allowing cookies – nothing has helped. Although the site itself seems to look OK, I have not been able to access it to add or change content for almost 3 months now. Not sure what else to try.

Although I’m a bit nervous to go in and adjust code without knowing that my site has backed up recently (it is on auto, but not sure of functionality since I haven’t been able to access admin since July), I’ll take a break and then give it a try. Thank you so much.

I’ve just checked my site and it isn’t actually functioning either. You can navigate it, but I’m not getting emails and can’t purchase services.

Have you contacted your host’s support? It’s newfold.com or web.com.

I have contacted Network Solutions a number of times for this sitaution in the past but they say it’s a WP issue and I end up going to a FB support group. This is the first time the

    usual solution hasn’t worked.
