• Hey guys!

I’ve found myself in a little bit of a pickle and was wandering if anyone else knew a fix.

Recently I attempted to clone a WP site using the plugin duplicator. Everything was fine moving wise however I have gone to log into WP and am now locked out. Neither my email, username or password are working and I can’t seem to work out why. I’m also locked out of my FTP, I keep getting the error “Server response: ‘530 Login authentication failed’”

I can access my cpanel etc. but I’m unsure how to fix anything from here.

During the installation (of duplicator) process I had to create a new database and user. I’m assuming this is the main issue at bay here – however I’m unsure how to fix it. If anyone knows anything that I should try I would really really appreciate it ??

  • Hi,
Regarding FTP it seems somehow your password is changed. As you mentioned you can access cPanel then its a click away to change the FTP credentials.
    1. Login to cPanel
    2. Under the Files section you will find FTP Accounts. Click over that and you will find all your FTP accounts there. And you can change your FTP password from there.

Hope b trying above you will gain access to your FTP.

    Cheers!
