Locked out of WordPress Dashboard Login

    Hello,

    I made an error by pasting a drop-down menu code statement in my functions.php file, BEFORE, downloading the dropdown menu plugin into my theme directory. Now I cant access wp-admin. I get a blank screen on my browser and my website has disappeared.

    I went to my ip host panel and went into file manager where I found the function.php file but it looks nothing like the same file in the WordPress Dashboard, so I cant delete the code from there.

    HELP. Thank you.

    Try switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides. That should get you back into your site again so you can undo your changes (if necessary).
