    Hello.

I, like several other people here, have been locked out of my sites. It occurred after I log out. I get the screen that says my IP address has been blocked by Administrator “for security purposes.”

One solution I saw involved looking for my IP address in the Blocked IP Addresses portion of Wordfence. That’s all well and good, once I’m able to log in. Does Wordfence “forget” after a certain amount of time? Or, should I delete WF in order to log in? I can’t see how I can simply disable WF from the file manager inside GoDaddy.

    Any suggestions???

  • Hi Tom,

We don’t have the wording “for security purposes” in Wordfence, so most probably you got locked out by something else. Here you are the guide that you can follow to get your self back in. Check “Forcefully regain access to your site
    ” section.

    Thanks.

I appreciate the reply. I was able to login fine the following morning. Wordfence did not show my IP address as being locked out. It must’ve been a fluke.

It’s good to know about that guide. Thanks for sharing.
