• I tried to install a plugin that failed to install.
It warned to be sure and uninstall through wordpress admin.
    I did.

Now when I try to log on to admin I simply get a blank page

It is a new blog but I have data in draft that I would like to retrieve. Can anyone tell me where that is stored.

If I reinstall the program over itself will it delete all of the data already up there.

I found all of the uploaded images through FTP but can find none of the text that goes with it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Kat

Each plugin here at www.remarpro.com has its own support sub-form, so maybe go there and ask its author how you can get back in at your site. My guess is that a simple deletion of a specific file somewhere will do the trick.

All pages, posts and such are in your database at the server, and your database can typically be backed up and/or directly accessed via cPanel > phpMyAdmin.

If I reinstall [WordPress] over itself will it delete all of the data already up there.

That would depend upon how the matter of the database is handled at the time. At least in theory, however, you might be able to simply delete-and-replace your wp-admin folder (I am only guessing while suspecting .htaccess there) and then log in at your site as it was.

    Thank you so much ??

In fact the plug in installation knew it did not install properly and somehow foresaw there was a problem. Email instructions on what to do were waiting for me this morning ??

I will try them this evening … just to see what will happen.

I figured that the database might have the files there I just did not know how to grab them … I will follow your advise too before I try to fiddle with the email fix.

If I can at least grab the files it will save me about a week of data collection and authoring.

Actually I know better than to not back things up but got lazy ??

You have a good day and thank you again.
