I restored my website to from a back up. After doing so I tried to log in through admin and received a message “Your access to this site has been temporarily limited by the site owner – http response code 503”

I tried accessing the website through sending the unlock email however I am now locked out of the account.

    How can I resolve this?

    Hi @halfpasthungry,

Thanks for reaching out to us. You can get back into the site by doing the following:

    1. Using FTP or file manager on your hosting side/cPanel, rename the Wordfence folder in wp-content/plugins to something else (wordfence_temp for example).
    2. Log in as you normally would.
    3. Go back to your FTP client or file manager and rename the wordfence plugin back to its original “wordfence” name.
    4. Refresh your dashboard on your site and you should see Wordfence back on the left-hand side.
    5. Go into Wordfence > Firewall > Blocking and remove the block mentioning your IP/username/login name.

Let me know if you have any issues.

    Thanks,
    Tiffany
