Hi,
Thanks for reporting. Not sure why you got “Activation failed, please contact our administrator” message – will be investigating this now, but what I have already done:
1. I’ve added “Skip Email Verification for User Roles” option to module settings. This by default set to “Administrator”, so if your user is admin, you will be able to login, as your user won’t need verification.
2. I’ve added “Enable Email Verification for Already Registered Users” option. This is set to “no” by default, so if your user was registered before you enabled “Email Verification” module, again – you will be able to login, as your user won’t need verification.
3. I’ve also added “resend verification email” option to “Verification Message – Failed” message. So now instead of just “Activation failed, please contact our administrator” message, you will get “Activation failed, please contact our administrator. You can resend email with verification link by clicking…” message, and at least will be able to try to reset the verification link. However you’ll need to either reset module’s settings, or add %resend_verification_url%
value manually to “Verification Message – Failed” message for this to work. And as mentioned earlier – I’ll try to figure out why did you get that message anyway.
Please download the development version here – https://booster.io/dev/. You will need to uninstall the old plugin version first (don’t worry your saved settings won’t disappear). And please let me know if it’s ok now.
Best regards,
Tom
