Locked out and not getting reset link to password

    Dear Madam/Sir,

    I have updated the wordfence security yesterday and today when I am trying to access the site. It is blocking me and giving suggestion to reset the password. I tried to reset the password but it is taking me to the same link which doesn’t have access option.
    In email — I don’t see a link to reset the password.

  • Yep… same here. Friggen BS when someone trys to protect your site and locks you out without your permission. The email is NOT coming through and now I have no access to my site. Can someone tell me what to delete once I ssh in?

    nevermind… just deleted the wordfence plugin folder, could not wait

    I am sorry to hear you are experiencing issues logging in and resetting you password. To immediately get access to your site, please use FTP/SSH or any file manager that your web host may be providing in their administration panel and rename the wordfence directory. It’s located in the folder: /wp-content/plugins/. Once you have logged in to your WordPress admin you can name the folder back again and change the setting that caused you to be locked out.
