    Hello,

I am locked out of the system after upgrading to the new version on 10 Oct 2017. On the front-end login or registration forms, I do not get the UID and Password (or any text input) fields. It only shows the Login button. Clicking it returns an error message – ‘Invalid userid or password’. Is there a way for admins to bypass the plugin’s forms?

    Please help.

Correction to heading: New version on 10 Oct 2017

Okay, the cPanel allowed me to disable UsersWP plugin and I could log back in. I re-activated the plugin and things look fine for now. But the plugin behavior (after upgrade) was strange.

Could it happen if someone tries to access wp-admin URL directly (like I did before it locked me out)?

Hello, is everything working for you now?
It sounds like the upgrade funtion did not fire the first time around. How did u update?

    Thanks,

    Hello,

    Thanks for the quick response.

WordPress popped up a notification in the WP Dashboard to update the plugin and so I went ahead and clicked ‘update now’ link. This was last evening. And today, I woke up to a locked site. I used the cPanel to disable the plugin and enter the wp-admin area. Re-activated UserWP and the site is normal now.

I did try accessing the wp-admin URL directly again. But the problem did not recur. So, I don’t know what caused this. As you said, perhaps the upgrade function did not fire properly and required the plugin to restart (deactivate – activate).

    Kind regards

Thanks for your explanation, i’ll keep an eye out for any similar problems, but no one has reported anything similar as of yet.

    Thanks,

    Thank you.

It could just be my site. Later this evening, I had these kind of errors (while disabling plugins one by one trying to troubleshoot an unrelated problem). I have fixed these but thought of sharing it here. Just in case it helps in your assessment.

    Hello,

Thanks for sharing, it might be related but we are also making a change that should fix the issue even if the upgrade does not fire the first time ??

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
