Locked out

  • I have been locked out (although I haven’t even tried to log in!), there was not email sent, I made a new user account, but I was locked out there as well. I changed my password, did not work either. I emptied my cache, didn’t help. I checked for malware – everything is clean. I renamed wordfence, did not help.

    What now?

    ? Too many login failures, you are temporarily blocked

    Just that it’s not temporarily but sames to last forever.

    Based on a quick Google search of the error message, I’m going to take a guess that you are using this plugin. Assuming that to be the case, the solution is to delete or deactivate the plugin by FTP.

    Thanks! I deleted it and now the message is gone. However, I just can’t log in, I have three accounts and none of them work. my pw is not accepted although it is correct, for all three of them (no caps etc.)
