• Hi there

I installed the plugin and created a new login name in the Permilinks section and it worked okay. Following day I can’t get in – just displays the site logo (I am using a plug-in: WP Maintenance Mode).

I have used your plug in on teo other sites that are working fine.

Should I delete the plugs-ins folder to get access again?

    Thanks

  • I have somewhat the same problem.
I don’t use the maintenance mode but I use this rename plugin.
Every time I visit the website and try to login, the plugin does not allow me to login. It redirects me to a 404 page and when I click on the home button to go to my front page, I need to log in again. The plugin blocks all login attempts.

The only thing I can do is the following: (maybe this helps for you to)

    Login through FTP
    Go to wp-content/plugins
    Find the rename-wp-login folder
    Rename the folder (i.e. rename-wp-loginnnn)
    login to your website

After this the plugin does not work anymore, at least until you give the folder the right name again.

Thanks Lobster01. Yes, I deleted the rename-wp-login folder and then I could log-in in the normal way. Cheers

    You’re welcome pmcphail.

Perhaps someone has further thoughts on this Plug in Failing after one day?

I set it up with a good weird Login (www.domain.com.au/…….) – worked fine that day. I had multiple login/logout. Had the owner of the site also check access and it worked fine.

2 days later when I attempt to Login – Enter Username/Password – brings up error message “You must log in to access the admin area.”

    Any tips appreciated. Thanks Dennis

Server error – duplication of my post above – so edited out.
