    Hi
My site has been under attack for days and Wordfence wasn’t stopping it. So I put AIOS on one of my other sites and that worked. Then with this website I ticked a lot of boxes and as I got to the last options towards SALTS I get logged out and I can’t get back in. Doesn’t recognise my password and I don’t get the reset email. Is there an easy way to get back into wp-admin? Thanks.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I think it was the Salts

    Hi,

and as I got to the last options towards SALTS I get logged out and I can’t get back in.

When you enable this feature, you and all other logged-in users will be logged out so that AIOS can append the additional code (the salt) to all users’ login information.

Did you by any chance also enable one of the Brute force features like Rename login page or Cookie based brute force prevention? If you did, you need to enter the secret word to log in as an administrator.

    Kind regards.

    Hi @static1635

If you enable Salt postfix feature it will force user logout as message displayed. “When you enable this feature, you and all other logged-in users will be logged out so that AIOS can append the additional code (the salt) to all users’ login information”.

I can see login page loads with wp-login.php. If you still have issue with access to the wp-admin using correct username and password. Let me know and try rename the plugin “all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall” to “all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall-old” /wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall It will deactivate the plugin and you can access the wp-admin.

Thanks very much for this. I’ll try again. I didn’t select “rename login page” or “cookie based brute force”.
I’m not able to login with my normal details. I’ll try disabling the plugin.

    Hi @static1635

Means if you have renamed the plugin folder still can not login to admin panel?

Renaming the folder at path /wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall will make it disable if you still have issue please make sure you are entering the correct credentials.

In the end I was able to get back in. Bit odd that. Thanks.

    Hi Justin,

Glad to know that you can login to wp-admin panel.

Try activate AIOS plugin back as Salt enabled it will make you logout once but login credentials should work and you should be able to access wp-admin panel.

    Regards
