    Trying to login at https://www.jacksgallery.co.uk/wp-login.php now displays a error page saying “Jetpack has locked your site’s login page.” The IP address shown (193.105.234.217) is NOT the IP address of the website. If I enter an email address then no email is received but the error page is replaced by the website login page, and I can then login.

    I have now disabled Brute Force Protection in Jetpack yet when I try and login again I still get the “locked” page displayed. I have cleared all cookies and site data in Chrome to no avail. I have a Limit Login Attempts plugin plus Login No Captcha reCAPTCHA (Google) but these show no failed login attempts.

    Why is the “locked” page being shown when Brute Force is now disabled?

    How so I stop it being shown and get the login page displayed as normal?

    Jetpack is v 13.3.1

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @zimbo000

    Looking at your login page, I see that it is cached. When I view the source code, I see the line:

    <!-- Cached by WP-Optimize (gzip) - https://getwpo.com - Last modified: 6th May 2024 2:40 pm (Europe/London UTC:1) -->

    As a next step here, please clear the cache in WP-Optimize. I suspect that the plugin is caching your login page and then your site is serving the cached page.

    Let us know how it goes.

    That solved it, thanks. But I’m curious as to why this has happened now – the site has been running for years and WP-Optimize used for page caching for most of those yet this problem has never occurred before.

    Any ideas why now?

    Hi @zimbo000

    Unfortunately, it’s hard to say why it would have happened only recently. It could be that something changed in that plugin or in the combination of plugins that are running on your site.

    That said, since the issue is solved, I’m going to mark the thread as resolved. If you have trouble again in the future, feel free to open a new thread.
