Locked in my own admin Profile

    It’s been 4 days since I can’t leave the “/wp-admin/profile.php#defender-security” section of my console… All I can do is create some App passwords which I don’t know what they relate to… All I want is to be able to manage my site… Other open topics are only told to “finish 2FA setup” but that can’t be done… there’s no way out of the profile and no instructions on how to finich that… Unbelievable…

    Just to follow up a bit on how this option should work. When you enable 2FA and go to your profile page you should see this section show up:

    And if you force accounts to activate it (from 2FA settings) it wouldn’t let you leave Profile page until the 2FA is set up.

    From what I understand your profile page was missing this section so you were unable to continue.

    May I suggest enabling 2FA again but don’t enable “Force Authentication” option.
    This way you should see 2FA setup in your profile but shouldn’t get locked in if you don’t see it and are unable to set it up.

    Let us know if you can see the profile page 2FA section properly now.
