Hi

Great that meetings can now be added to Events Manager.

However, Jitsi meeting links are not accepted and the whole event dissapears after submit.

“Please enter a valid URL for this event location”.

Could you please also allow Jitsi meeting links?

Their formats stars like this https://meet.jit.si/…….

Thanks.

Google meet links are accepted but when looking at the event as a viewer, it does not show. It only shows in edit view.
Customers don’t see anything regarding links.

So, the best option still is to write them down manually like before.

I don’t even understand how this new function works.
I ticket under setting URL as new location but don’t see it as option by submitting events. Can someone help me?

I cannot make the url link show up on an event page. Instead the link of the page itself shows up as the url. I can make all the other placeholders wok, not that one. Super-duper frustrating.

Anny help super duper appreciated.

@bersani

It sounds like you may be using the wrong placeholder, but it’s not working for me either.

In a test environment, I just updated to latest Events Manager and then enabled the ‘URLs’ location type, which I had never noticed before.

Next I edited my ‘Single event page format’ to add:

{has_location}
LOCATIONURL: #_LOCATIONURL
LOCATIONLINK: #_LOCATIONLINK
{/has_location}

Then I edited an existing past event to give it a Location of the URL type, filled the URL and Link Text fields and saved my changes.

When I check the updated event post, I now see:

LOCATIONURL: https://staging.mydomain.com/events/test-event/
LOCATIONLINK:

So while the plugin is recognizing there’s a location, I was expecting LOCATIONLINK to use the URL and Link Text information that I provided, so maybe there’s a bug here.

Location type URL is still not working.

I have been testing it but still no links nor anyting.
Will not update the plugin in the production environment. It is just ads additional click for users when they are adding events.

Better wait for this to be fixed and use version 5.9.7.3 (hopefully) until then.
