location service – browser running on Windows PC

    Hi Store Locator team,

    I just started using your great plugin.

    One issue I encountered so far is related to location service.

    I was able to experience “auto locate user” feature with Microsoft Edge browser (eg the map start and center with city where I’m physically located). However I’m unable to achieve the same with Google Chrome running on the same Windows 10 PC.
    I checked to ensure the privacy setting under Chrome is setup to allow location to be used.

    Any comment or suggestion?

    Unfortunately Chrome no longer allows the geolocation feature to work on sites that don’t use HTTPS.

    I assume your site doesn’t use HTTPS?

    Thanks for the comment.

    I have now enabled HTTPS for our site. Using Chrome on PC works with location service correctly.

    Issue resolved.
