Location of MP3 Issue

So are you saying that every time you upload an MP3 you have to toggle the URL format to “File URL” before the URL populates in the Link URL field?

If that is not what you mean, please walk through the steps you are taking in detail and point out where the problem deviates from the norm.

Correct, that is what I am saying. It works fine in my testing environment, but not my production environment. Is there some sort of configuration on my server that isn’t set up properly?

That is very strange. I have never heard of that happening. I would suggest deactivating every plugin and switching to the 2015 or other default theme in your production environment just to make sure it is server related before going down that dark rabbit hole.

I’ve already done that. Hence why I came here to see if anyone else had seen the issue before. If not, the next step would be to contact my host for support.

Yeah I’m sorry but I don’t have any other suggestions. Since the trouble you are having relates more to the WP media library than Sermon Manager I searched the web to see if this was WP issue others experienced but couldn’t find anything at all.

Unfortunately my hosting service was no help today. I will keep digging and if I find a solution I will let everyone know what I did to fix it.

I can confirm that I have this same bug in both test and live environments. Clicking the “File URL” button allows the file to be added.

I think the problem is your metabox library. Currently the plugin uses this one: https://github.com/WebDevStudios/Custom-Metaboxes-and-Fields-for-WordPress in sermon-manager-for-wordpress/includes/meta-box/ which is no longer supported and probably needs to be updated to CMB2: https://github.com/WebDevStudios/CMB2

It is the meta-box.

I am trying to update it to CMB2 myself, however running into issues since cmb2 is a major rewrite.

Otherwise I was able to make this plugin look modern and professional.

Hopefully I will have a total revamped Sermon Manager in a few weeks, even if it is for my own use.
